Shari Davis
Ballet, Jazz, and Modern
Artistic Director of Spokane Ballet Ensemble*
Shari is the Owner and Director of the Dance Center of Spokane,
Shari is a Royal Academy of Dance registered teacher and has
taught dance for 20 years, 16 of them at the Dance Center
of Spokane. Shari previously studied with Tessa Williams and
Noreen Clohessy. She graduated from Ferris High School in
1981 and EWU in 1985 with a Bachelors of Arts degree in Theater/Dance.

Tambra Christianson
Hiphop, Jazz
Graduated from EWU with an Interdisciplinary degree in Performing
Arts Administration. Tambra has danced for 7 years, 3 of them
with JoAnne Jaynes. She then went on to study with Joe Lanteri
in N.Y., Doug Caldwell, Joe Tremaine, Mia Michaels, and Susie
Young. Tambra developed her Hiphop style with Jana Suko and
Kim York.

Kathleen Olson
Tap
Kathleen Olson studied with Sherry York. She went on to teach
tap for many years before she found her home at The Dance
Center of Spokane. She has produced many award winning numbers.
She is currently working on the new Imperial Society of Teachers
of Dance tap program. Everyone will enjoy this new endeavor!

Darla Stephens
Ballet, Jazz, and Spokane Ballet Ensemble*Choreographer
Darla has been teaching at The Dance Center of Spokane for
the last 11 years. She is a Royal Academy of Dance Registered
Teacher. She previously studied ballet with Tessa Williams.
She has studied Jazz with Gus Giordano, Frank Hatchett, Dave
Massey, and Mia Michaels. and many other great teachers.

Julie Pegau
Ballet
Julie studied at the University of Alaska, Cornish, and the
University of Illinois, and in the past has directed her own
studio. She is a Royal Academy of Dance Registered Teacher.
Julie has taught Ballet for 20 years, the last 12 at The Dance
Center of Spokane.

Michelle Melcher
Ballet Jazz
Michelle received her training right here at The Dance Center
of Spokane. She has danced for 16 years. Besides being a Ballet
teacher she also works at Valley Montessori. She attends SCC
and wants to pursue a career in Dance. Michelle loves working
with the young children!

Kathy LaMarche
Gymnastics, Mom and Me, Tap and Tumble, Tap /Jazz
Kathy has degrees in both Physical Education and Music, and
has taught for over 23 years. She was the owner of the Dance
Center for 12 years, selling it to Shari in 2001. She is a
versatile teacher with a lot of experience working with young
children. Kathy is happily Semi-Retired and is enjoying her
"free" time with her husband Roland LaMarche.
